Rev. Fr. Joy holds a doctorate in Biblical Theology from the Gregorian University, Rome (2005) and a Licentiate in Sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute, Rome. He is a member of the Faculty of Theology in DVK, Bengaluru since 2005 and has served as the Dean of the Faculty, Controller of Examinations, Director of Licentiate in Theology and so on. Currently Fr. Joy is the President of DVK.

Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram (DVK) is a Pontifical Athenaeum for higher learning and formation, established by the Congregation for Catholic Education, Vatican, as an independent institute, empowered to grant degrees, including Licentiate and Doctorate in Philosophy and Theology, Licentiate in Oriental Canon Law, Licentiate and Master's in Formative Spirituality and Counselling. Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram is a Registered Society under the Karnataka Societies of Registration Act 1960 (Karnataka Act No.17 of 1960) as S. No.13/84-85 of Bangalore City Corporation.
The weekend online course is offered under the auspices of the Faculty of Theology, DVK. Faculty of Theology is established for the study and research in varied realms of theology, promoting the study of the nature of God and religious beliefs in the light of the Gospel, so as to form competent pastors, teachers as well as researchers. Theology faculty is enriched by its 60+ educators and offers courses ranging from Certificate to Doctoral programs.
